2025 HBCU All-Star Game coming to San Antonio

At a press conference Wednesday morning it was announced that the 4th annual HBCU All-Star Game will take place in San Antonio, Texas.

Set to take place April 6 at Freedom Coliseum, the game brings together the crème de la crème of HBCU basketballers from the CIAA, MEAC, SIAC, and SWAC as well as the independent ranks to showcase their talents in front of a national audience.

Additionally, it was announced there will be the first women’s iteration of the game, giving the ladies the opportunity to also display their skills.

Previous HBCU All-Star Games have taken place in New Orleans, Houston, at the H&PE arena on the campus of Texas Southern University, and Phoenix at the Global Credit Union Arena at Grand Canyon University. The 2020 game in Atlanta and the 2021 contest in Indianapolis were both canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The last two games, in Houston and Phoenix, have been sellouts.
